Even the deacons in the church are on board with this highway robbery of the poor.
“Likewise must the deacons be grave, not double tongued, not given too much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre.” (Timothy I 3:8)
With all due respect to the pulpit and the roster of deacons; I know that God said feed my sheep but that’s the job of the ministers.
“Feed the flock of God which is among you taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind” (Peter I 5:2)
You should know that the gospel isn’t about money, because you can’t buy your way into God’s kingdom. God doesn’t take bribes, so why put all your trust in the dollar?
“Set your affections on things above not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:2)
