If you can’t buy your way into God’s kingdom, why do so many preachers be on that prosperity trip? So they can prey on the poor and ignorant of God’s word and make merchandise of them; “For there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covertness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you” (Peter II 2:1-3)
So if you go to church and all the pastor is talking about is money, don’t let him pick your pocket; you must become familiar with the (Ear Hustler). Don’t let the robe fool you he is still a Pimp just in different clothing. “Beware of the false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravaging wolves” (Mathew 7:15)
If you know God’s word, then these guys can’t fool you; the preacher’s job is to feed the flock of God the gospel which is able to make one wise, and the gospel is free, there’s no price on it.
“Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for $filthy lucre$ but of a ready mind” (Peter I 5:2)
“Freely ye have received, freely give” (St. Matthew 10:8)
So as I address this matter I didn’t say that having money is a sin with Jesus, but if the money got you and it’s your god then its sin.
