Slavery is a Tool of God for the Disobedient
The Lord has always taken care of his people. He called Israel the “apple of his eye,” his “chosen people”. The problem is most Black people don’t know that they are the Nation of Israel that God is referring to. Our ignorance and unwillingness to recognize our Lord and his commandments have left us in captivity. Quite simply, if we would have hearkened unto the Lord, our enemies would not have enslaved us and become rulers of our children. Read the scripture below, and tell me that you don’t believe God put slavery on the table.
“And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be oppressed and spoiled evermore, and know man shall save thee.“ (Deuteronomy 28:29)
I know of no other people who have been more oppressed than black folks. The description of the consequences for disobedience to God correlates with the plight of the Black man.
Pay close attention to what thus saith the Lord, the creator of heaven and earth. He made a covenant with his people and wants you to obey his laws.
“But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command you this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee.” (Deuteronomy 28:15)
