“But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you” (John 14:26)
The Holy Ghost has nothing to do with jumping all over the pews or falling out in the spirit. It’s the Spirit of the Lord which is the Spirit of truth.
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of Truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come”. (John 16:13)
In the first book of the bible God speaks about his spirit that he breath into man.
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became A living soul” (Genesis 2:7)
It’s clearer in this scripture the purpose of the Holy Ghost which is Gods spirit.
“The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word was in my tongue” (Samuel II 23:2) .
