Concert Review: “Wu-Block”– Ghostface Killah & Sheek Louch

Upon arriving at the spot, I saw what I expected to see, a bunch of middle aged guys dressed in standard hip hop gear, there was also some females in the building, but not enough to equal the score. My tardiness to most events ensures that I don’t get a chance to see most opening acts, so by the time I got through pushing and shoving my way through the crowd to get a beer and finding a suitable spot to get some photos; Sheek and Ghost was coming on stage.

A funny thing was seeing Sheek Louch on stage and not recognizing who he was. I thought he was security, or a bodyguard or something; it wasn’t until I heard him rap, that I realized who he was. Well they say when you getting money, you start getting fat, so it is what it is.

Now before I give a review of the performance, I have to make a second confession, although I am a fan of the Lox as a group, I’m not a fan of Sheek Louch as a solo artist. I have nothing against the brother, but I always thought of him as the Horace Grant of the group; not Mike, or Scottie, but a role player who is important to the winning formula.
