Facebook Claims that Supporting A Black Film Is “Violating Community Standards”

In order to understand this a bit further, I want you to know the following:  ’94 percent of the 5,765 voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are white and 77 percent are men. Blacks and Hispanics account for 2 percent each of the voting members.’ Stunning statistics when you think about it.

Anti-Intellect went on Facebook to voice this and how Black films were overlooked in order to please the masses. Needless to say, Facebook wasn’t happy. One of the remarks Anti-Intellect made was ‘I’m not interested in having White culture celebrate Black Culture. That is my job…’ In addition to this, when Robert Jones, Jr, a Brooklyn, New York writer and editor known to his Twitter followers as Son of Baldwin shared Anti-Intellects status on his Facebook page, his account was suspended. Not only was his account suspended, but his posts removed.

Facebook has a long way to go in understanding censorship. When intellectual discussions are blocked and removed for telling the truth about racism (seen and hidden), there’s a problem. A problem because Free Speech that seeks to educate and enlighten people is ignored while other derogatory pictures and comments are allowed. Just do your own research and you’ll see what I mean.
