Freedom Denied

 A Human Right

This not so subtle message to the general public and specifically to the United Nations was a nail in the coffin for Palestine. Their efforts and failure to be recognized by the United Nations reminded me of Malcolm X. Because before he died, Malcolm was also trying desperately to file grievance to the UN on the behalf of Black People here in America. He argued that Blacks conditions were sub-human and that our right to have a fair and equal chance to quality of life wasn’t a “civil right but a human right.” Therefore our problem wasn’t a domestic matter but an international crisis. President Obama during his UN speech found a strange and poetical way to define these rights to those he help deny them to. “Article l of this general assembly of this universal declaration of human rights reminds us that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights,” said the President. Based on that definition, Article l should have given validation to those people who were born slaves in this country (born free) and to those who fought for the basic rights that were automatically given to other citizen’s in this country (equal). So Malcolm was right. Unfortunately being right doesn’t count or get you recognized by the United Nations. Nor does it matter who’s right between the Israelis and the Palestinians; the city of Jerusalem will belong to Jesus eventually,  he who claimed the city  for his throne when he returns to Earth for his second coming:

“I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain…and I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.”   Zechariah 8:3-7

Only after that we will truly see genuine peace in the Middle East.v
