Move over Alabama, there is a new sheriff in town. It seems after years of dominance by the Alabama college football team, that Georgia University is the new emerging dynasty. The Georgia Bulldogs left no doubt that it was the best team in college football by beating Texas Christian University 65-7 to win the National Championship.

It was the second consecutive championship for the Bulldogs, and the first time that a team has repeated since Alabama did it in 2011 and 2012. The 58-point win was the biggest margin of victory was the largest since college football instituted an official championship game in the 1998 season, and Georgia’s 65 points are the most scored in a championship game.

“We certainly didn’t play our best. You gotta give Georgia a ton of credit,” TCU head coach Sonny Dykes said after the game. “Those guys came out and played exceptionally well.”
