If you pay attention to the headlines in the media you would think that Chicago was this big war zone with bad guys hiding in buildings, with bandannas on, and big machine guns; while the police walk the streets in riot gear, searching for culprits, and assuming peace in the land by any means. Well, one part is true, there is a great deal of police presence in the city of Chicago as of late. Each night you can see patrol cars posted on random corners, riding two or three cars deep, pulling over suspected criminals, and checking the identification of citizens walking the streets.
