Black Truth News: Tell me what you guys got going on out here tonight with the Jack-n-for Beats? What’s your role in their campaign?
Twone Gabbz: Basically the campaign is called “Jack-N- for Beats: We got Bars Tour Volume 1.” It’s sponsored by Jack Honey. They actually released a new product called Jack Daniels Hennessey Honey and this campaign is called Jack-N-for Beats. We are basically taking it to the streets now; this campaign is about to go nationwide and what we’re doing is providing opportunities for up and coming artist who don’t necessarily have that national or even citywide recognition. Giving them a platform to hone that talent and build a buzz, and being able to attach that name to a brand like this. Come on the trailer, spit a rap. It goes up on the website and we hold an event at the various markets, with the top ten rappers that come from this, they compete and we give them an opportunity to win 5,000 dollars. It’s that simple.

In a recession, five grand ain’t nothing to sneeze at it; so for Jack Honey to be offering an opportunity like this, to win five grand. You can actually take that 5 grand and get something going for yourself in terms of getting some material recorded, something, you can use it in some kind of way to help you get to the next level. For those artists out there that’s hungry, that got the talent but don’t necessarily have the resources to do certain things. It’s definitely a start.
