Kid Rock’s Malibu home on the market for $13.45 million

Rock, whose collection of properties includes two metro Detroit residences, paid $11.6 million for the pad amid his whirlwind marriage to Pamela Anderson. Los Angeles Times Magazine got a tour of the house in 2008, noting that it was “adorned with Indonesian woodwork and architectural details imported from the Far East … a marvel of serenity, exotic flavor and — dare we say it? — refined taste.”

The magazine even had a thumbs-up for the stripper pole in Rock’s living room, situated next to a piano once owned by Elton John, describing it as as “minimalist stainless-steel sculpture.”

Zillow estimates that a 30-year mortgage on the property would call for a cool $52,192 monthly payment — and annual property taxes of about $137,000.

Rock just wrapped up his three-month $20 Best Night Ever Tour, by all accounts his most successful outing in years, with crowds in some markets more than double his previous stops. Among the remaining items on Rock’s 2013 agenda: a performance at Nashville’s star-studded George Jones tribute on Nov. 22, and a run of December dates as opener on Bon Jovi’s Australian tour.
