LeBron James took to Twitter to defend his former Cavaliers teammate Danny Green, who has received backlash since photos and videos emerged of the Spurs’ wing greeting the Miami Heat at Story nightclub following their NBA Finals win on Thursday.
“Danny Green did not party with us on Thursday night. He came to say congrats,” James tweeted on Sunday afternoon, saying he was “proud” of Green for his development.
Green was the story of the series through five games, in which he broke the NBA Finals record by sinking 25 threes on 38 attempts.
