Left Eye’s Sister Says Family Wasn’t Even Allowed On the Set of the TLC Movie

Also, Left Eye had a huge impact on the group’s record sales.  It appeared to be out of arrogance that Lopes often boasted about her value to the group, but the proof is in the pudding.  After Lopes died, the group’s next release, “3D” only sold 2 million copies, compared to the previous release, “Fan Mail,” which sold 11 million copies.  So, Left Eye’s impact on the group’s story and intrigue by the public is undeniable.

This might be why it is so difficult to explain why the family of Lopes wasn’t invited to participate in the creation of the film, “Crazy, Sexy, Cool,” which documented the group’s rise to fame and subsequent fall from grace.

According to Reigndrop Lopes (sister of the late Lisa Lopes), the family wasn’t asked to be a part of the film and their story was never told, at least not from their point of view.   She says that she and her family were not even allowed on the set during production.

“It seems like Lisa’s family was the only people not involved in the movie, not invited to the set. It was just weird and an uncomfortable feeling. I would’ve liked to be involved,” she said.

Making matters worse, Reigndrop told MadameNoir.com that the family wasn’t asked to walk the red carpet during the film’s premiere.

“I get there, I got the stripe under my eye to represent my sister. I’m all dressed up, ready to walk the red carpet and I’m told I can’t. None of Left Eye’s family is welcomed to walk the red carpet,” she said.

Could this lead to another lawsuit?  Perri “Pebbles” Reid and her family are already upset.  Pebbles’ daughter, Ashley Reid, has threatened Chilli over the way her mother was made to look in the film.  It all appears to be a mess.
