Lil Boosie Expects To Be Released From Prison In February

Boosie’s violation stemmed from pleading guilty to a third-offense marijuana possession charge.

Boosie’s legal woes didn’t end there. Boosie had eight additional years tacked onto his prison bid after he was caught smuggling codeine into the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola, according to the Times-Picayune.

Codeine is the primary ingredient used in “Lean,” a drink that provides its user a sedated effect.

Boosie dodged a bullet after he was acquitted of murder in the 2009 murder of Terry Boyd. Boyd’s sister is the mother of Boosie’s child.

The “Wipe Me Down” rapper was accused of hiring hitman Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding in the slaying. Louding took his street moniker from the menacing character on “The Wire” crime series. Louding, who was 17 at the time, was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
