Kitchen in the Bassment is the latest mixtape from Chicago hip hop artist Chris Crack. I saw Chris perform at a show a few months ago; and it was my first time seeing his show, or hearing his music. I thought it was an impressive outing, especially considering that he only did one song and was on the bill with more recognizable names. On the other hand, that scenario, lead me to consider the cons as well as the pros of my first impression; like would I feel the same about his performance if I heard 3 or 4 songs? Or would he have the same type of energy and enthusiasm consistently throughout a full performance or album?
