Sneaker aficionados are so pumped about Saturday morning’s release that they started lining up at Dallas’ Southwest Center Mall on Thursday. As a shoe store there was preparing to dispense tickets for the shoes at 6 o’clock this morning, Fox 4 reports, a fight nearly broke out.
There were no arrests or injuries reported, but the station reports that “tempers flared and police had to intervene.” If this sounds familiar, you might recall a similar incident last year at Hulen Mall in Fort Worth.
A reporter for NBC 5 described it as a “small riot” and reported that 300-400 people were pepper sprayed, all for a shoe that debuted almost two decades ago.
