Obama Toilet Paper Being Sold in Southern Stores in Black Communities

Houmatoday.com, a Louisiana based news website, recently published a story regarding an incident where a local resident saw the tissue for sale at a neighborhood costume store.

The woman Linda Williams, was disturbed when she saw the rolls of tissue upon entering the store.  She told Houmatoday.com, “In the 52 years I’ve been around, I’ve never seen a President on a roll of toilet paper.”

The manager of the store that is selling the toilet paper boasted that the paper is one of the stores best sellers.  He told Houmatoday.com, “We’re not trying to appeal to anyone.  It’s all about sales.”

The toilet paper is being sold at $4.99 a roll.

Local community leaders are also up in arms with the toilet tissue issue.  Jerome Boykin, President of the local NAACP told Houmatoday.com that he plans to take action against the costume store.  He stated, “I feel like somebody’s looking for a fight and they don’t have [to] look for one,” Boykin said. “We haven’t ruled out a boycott or protest.”

The store is located in a predominately African American neighborhood and has the whole community up in arms. Many of the residents feel that the toilet paper is just outright racist.
