State of Georgia Set For Execution

The lack of evidence in the case seems to support that Davis is telling the truth. There was no murder weapon found, no DNA or fingerprints that tied him to the crime. Plus seven of the nine eye witness who originally testified against Davis, have recanted their stories, instead linking the murder to another man, who happens to be the state witness who testified against Davis.

The case made it all the way to the Supreme Court in 2009, where the courts ruled in favor of Davis saying he should be allowed to present evidence originally not available in his 1991 case; despite the rare and favorable decision from the Supreme Court, the District Court of Georgia said it wasn’t enough evidence to prove his innocence. Troy Anthony Davis execution is schedule to take place somewhere between the 21st   through the 28th of September 2011.

Davis has got thousands of signatures from supporters, including from famous people such as ex President Jimmy Carter and Arch bishop Desmond Tutu. If you would also like to make a last minute pledge to support the brother Troy Davis, I posted his link below that has petitions that you can sign; donations you can make or just some well wishes.
