Taye Diggs honored with Arents Award spotlighted by BroadwayGlobal

Even Asistant Professor Drama/Musical Theater Marie Kemp knew Taye had the gift, “Looking back, I knew that he had something very special.” “We could not agree more. Taye has the gift of bringing laughter to every project he touches. His talents have allowed him to create a platform, using his voice for arts, teaching children self love, and support of anti bullying.” Theatre Chat.

“We share his website chocolatemetoo.com, you will find: “Chocolate Me” book, Chocolate Me T-Shirts and special events.  Taye Diggs support for arts, youth, and his anti bullying campaign, should all be embraced around he globe.” BroadwayGlobal. It does not hurt that he is married to the beautifully and gifted Broadway star Tony Award winner Idina Menzel (Wicked, RENT). Idina also shares insight on Taye. She gives a candid look into their relationship.  The special video produced by Syracuse University is the same University that educated Taye. Even Idina is quaoted saying “School and the arts changed Taye.”

One very important message Taye shared about his alma mater you can use and learn a very quick lesson in first impressions.  “Through the classes that I took at Syracuse, and that amazing program, one person would stand infront of the class, and the rest of the class would say wheather they were a leading role, a character, or whatever.  They did not in any way judge you, they would say, this may be how the general public may see you. You can be anything you want to be! Just keep in mind, how you are going to be precieved.” Taye Diggs.
