You’re not actually that different from a fruit fly. Think of that the next time you casually swat one.
As in many species, male fruit flies engage in an elaborate mating performance in order to convince the females of their suitability. The major lesson of the sexual lives of Drosophila is that the males have about fifteen minutes to impress the females. If a female fruit fly doesn’t select a male in half an hour she never will. The lesson seems to be that you have fifteen minutes to impress a woman. Then again, fruit flies last thirty days, so fifteen minutes in their lifespan is about ten human days.
Of course, all this gives us is a name for why the female rejects the male, and nothing more. It’s maybe the beginning of figuring out the process of attraction and rejection, but it is not yet a useful solution to the problem.
As to why women are rejecting you personally? It’s probably because you’re physically unattractive and uncouth, or because you have a shitty job and never have anything interesting to say, or because your band sucks, or because you dance like an idiot. That could be it. Or it could be a mutated Dati gene. Yeah, that’s probably it.
