Anthony Davis

Career

23.7 10.5 2.4 2.7

It might be premature but I think Anthony Davis is the best player in the NBA. In my opinion, he is the most dominant player on both ends of the floor. To me, that is the definition of number one in the NBA. All the greats had that moment. Well at least, if you look at players like Jordan,Kobe, LeBron and Olajuwon and Shaq. AD can guard the post and the perimeter. He can also dominate inside and out on the offensive end. More than anything, if you put him on a team of nobodies; he will make them competitive. No his team is not in the hunt for the championship, but by himself he can put them in the playoffs.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

27.6 13.2 1.3 6.0

Career

17.7 7.8 1.3 3.9

The Greek Freak has arrived. Some would say that Giannis Antetokounmpo should have been in this slot last year. When I selected Draymond Green in the Top Ten last season, I spent most of the time explaining why he chose him over Giannis. Talent wise, you can’t deny he has the goods.

My argument against his selection had to do with his inability to carry his team. I think that went out the window last season, based on his performance in the playoffs. From simply a preference standpoint, he is not my favorite player to watch. However he does kill his man on a nightly basis. In addition to that, I think his Milwaukee Bucks team is a player away from competing for the Eastern Conference Finals.
