Friday night parts of the U.S government was shutdown. Nine federal departments, which include the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security have been closed. President Trump has refused to sign any funding bills that doesn’t include the $5 billion dollars he requested to fund a border wall. Yesterday in a tweet, Trump tried to put the blame of the shutdown on the Democrats. “The Democrats now own the shutdown,” he said. However, last week in a meeting with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Trump indicated he will be the one responsible for the shutdown. “I am proud to shut down the government for border security, Chuck. … I will be the one to shut it down.
