Album Review: Miami Horror “All Possible Futures”

The first song American Dream is not only a good way to start an album, but also a road trip. The rest of the album pretty much follows suit, it is a joyride of good music. Highlights of the 15 track album are Cellophane, All it ever was, and Who gonna save us. Wild Motion (Set it free) is a hit, and I had the nagging feeling of hearing the song somewhere and not remembering where.

Miami Horror has a very relatable sound that makes you believe you are familiar with their sound, even though it is your first time listening. I’m not sure what genre to put them in, but the good music section will suffice. There are some lulls in the album that prevent it from becoming an instant classic. The grooves are dope, but there is a lack of variation of sound that may annoy you at some point. Songs like Real Slow and Stranger were kind of repeats of better songs on the album.

Nonetheless, I still would have to give Miami Horror’s album a B. Strong album with a lot of tunes to groove with and make you feel good. And it’s not like that feeling is exclusive just to the summertime. In fact, I’m betting this album will sound good in all seasons, it just the summer would make it that much better. With that said, accept my apology and jam to this for the rest of the year.
