Jesus Will Return To Earth Just As He Left.
When he left earth to go back to heaven he was on the Mount of Olives which is in Jerusalem. He ascended up to heaven and the people saw him leaving. The Mount of Olive is the hill facing the old city of Jerusalem, on the eastern side of Kidron valley. According to Jewish tradition, the Messiah will appear here at his return.
“Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye seen him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:11)
