Change of Pace Saturday Night: Laugh Factory in Chicago

I went on a Saturday night, and the show was appropriately called the “Nasty Show.” Each comedian made a point to emphasize sex during their routine, which sometimes was a little bit over the top. Occasionally throughout the night, you could tell some of the joke’s made the audience and the performer’s a little uneasy, but in general it was cool.  I would imagine there is a variety of subject matter for the comedians to talk about on different nights, given that the club is open everyday of the week. Although the comedy wasn’t on par with the likes of the old Def Comedy Jam shows; they were still entertaining.

The show was hosted by Aaron Foster who did a good job of keeping the show going at a quick pace. The short sets helped out a lot, because all of the comedians weren’t that funny, but the ones that were funny, were above average and professional. In fact all the comedians were professional and confident, which gave you the impression that this wasn’t just some amateur night.  The overall experience is what put the Laugh Factory in Chicago over the top for me. Comfortable seating, good ambiance, and it was coordinated properly.  Throughout my life experiences, I’ve noticed that when things are coordinated properly and the operation runs smoothly, it is usually a sign of hard work.

So shout out to the staff, the comedians, and to Aaron Foster for working hard to provide a good experience for the visitors.
