Seems fitting that since the series started out as a TV movie, that the show would close out in similar fashion.
The announcement of the movie comes after the fourth season’s finale aired on Sept.19 and the network decided not to pick it up for a fifth season.

Instead of wallowing in despondency over the premature cancellation of the show, “Being Mary Jane’s” dynamic and charismatic star Gabrielle Union is instead teasing fans to look forward to the final season:
