Interview with Houston Singer Tiaramy

What do you think is the biggest trap singers fall into today? How are you avoiding it?

Trap singers – haha… I have to laugh at that because it’s actually a genre of music trap r&b, or trap soul, as Bryson Tiller so greatly described. However this new wave of Trap R&B is pretty cool, however you can’t get stuck in it. If you are a true singer and vocalist you should still be able to get that across without dumbing down your skills to do the trap singing. Get my drift?

Where do you think you excel: in the studio or onstage? And why?

I definitely excel with both. However, my stage shows are the best. You can see my passion and feel it from watching me on stage. I lay it all on the line when I perform live. There is no right or wrongs – just go hard.

What would it take for you to sign a record deal?

A record deal can only benefit me financially. Other than that I don’t need one. My team is a one stop shop – we do it all. The recording, the production, the visuals, the promo and more. It’ll also help me get out more. I would need my deal to allow me to have full creative control and to also give my team a side deal for handling all things that deal with the Tiaramy brand. Why should I get outsiders to aid me when I already have a solid team?

Do you think you gain the majority of your fans from performing or online activity? Why do you think this is?

I would say majority come from my live shows. Online activity can only do so much. You have to get from behind that screen and get out here and touch the people. People get to see my fun-loving personality. I am such a warm person and that makes people gravitate to me and want to support me.
