Interview with Malik Yoba and My Thoughts on His Attraction to Transgender “Women”

There are a few instances where some entertainers, athletes, etc. are polite and take the time and have an extended conversation with me. On the other hand, most are on the go or only reserve their time for an outlet with a bigger name or platform. Either way, I try to do my best to be cordial and get something for the people without pissing off my target.

I just wanted to state that for a few of my readers who have questioned it in the past. It is also a good way to start talking about my brief interaction with actor Malik Yoba. I got a chance to speak with him a couple of months ago in Chicago at the Gentleman Jack Real to Reel National Film Competition. The event was a showcase of a few of the top independent Black filmmakers from the city. Malik was a guest speaker and talk about his experiences in the entertainment business along with giving advice to the young artists.

He also talked about his history in the entertainment business, which includes film, theatre and his roles in shows like Empire and New York Undercover.

Before exiting the building, I asked him how impactful the show New York Undercover was to the Hip Hop culture.

I also asked him about the legacy that the late rapper Nipsey Hussle left behind.

Not to mention, there were a line of women waiting to take a picture with him.
