NY Attorney General Who Help Create New York’s Law Against Strangulation Accused of Choking, Slapping Four Women

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has resigned and is set to leave his office today after allegations has surfaced that he slapped and hit four women. The news first surfaced was publicized in the New Yorker about the alleged abuse. Michelle Manning Barish and Tanya Selvaratnam came forward to share their stories of how Schneiderman was abusive during their relationship. A third woman who did not want to be identified shared a similar story. While a fourth woman, who is a New York City attorney said she was slapped by the AG after she rejected his advances. Schneiderman has maintained that all of his activity was consensual and he was simply role playing in the bedroom. Despite his claims the District Attorney’s office will launch a probe into the allegations and possibly seek criminal charges. To read more about this story click here.
