As we enter Black History Month 2015, we recall one of the adages of late Congressman Adam Clayton Powell Jr., who instructed Black people, in our struggle for civil and human rights to “use what’s in our hands”.
So, the December 12th Movement International Secretariat, in heeding words of our former Congressman, launched a campaign called “Obama, with the stroke of a pen.” It recognizes that the first Black President of the United States has the power to recognize the will of Africa and the international community to do right by Zimbabwe and, with the stroke of a pen, to lift the sanctions against Zimbabwe.
