A former employee for Delaware State University has pleaded guilty to accepting bribes to lower the tuition of out of state students. Crystal Martin, 35 testified that she forged the application of out of state students to make it look like they were in-state students. The difference reduces their tuition from $16,904 dollars to $7,868 dollars. Martin said the scheme took place between 2013 and 2017 and involved 100 students. She was charging the students $300 to $600 dollars for the forgery and made over $70,000 dollars. She is expected to be sentenced in July and could face up to 10 years in prison.
