The collection–which dropped over the weekend, just in time for today’s Opening Day–gives 16 team logos a minimalist makeover in all-white embroidery on black caps adorned with a Roc Nation paper plane logo on the side. As you’d probably expect, already iconic designs like the Yankees and Tigers emblems look great in this bold rendition, but the black and white stark color scheme looks incredibly clean even on logos with less street cred. Even the goofy cartoon Baltimore Oriole comes out looking kinda mean.
Two more waves featuring the same 16 logos in different colors will follow–one during the summer and one hitting in time for the postseason. The limited edition caps will run you $50 apiece, and will be available exclusively in select Lids stores, Lids.com, NewEraCap.com and in New Era Flagship stores.
