Top 5 R. Kelly Songs

3. Down Low (Remix)

How can you deny a song with Ronald Isley on it? The original is a classic but this one is incredible

2. Step in the Name of Love (Original)

It was hard to drop so many classics and still be able to reinvent yourself. But R. Kelly did it with this song. It was something that we never heard from him before. Even though he dropped the video for the remix, the original is better. Smooth, Chicago music right here.

1. I Can’t Sleep (If I) [Alternate Version]

This another song that might not even make it on some people’s list. It is not only my favorite Kelly song, but I feel like it is his best work. It is combination love song, soul ballad, mixed with opera and gospel. Not to mention that video got him hopping out a Bentley with Puff and singing in the rain in front of a woman’s window. The song is so cold, that he makes you forget that he apologizing for hitting a woman. Once again this is a case of R. Kelly remixing a song and having it sounding better than the original.
