The show stars Melissa L. Williams as Ruth Truesdale, who was drawn into the cult, but now is trying to escape. Melissa’s character Ruth first appeared on The Oval, where she also played her own twin Denise Truesdale.
The show also stars Matt Cedeño as The Highest/Tyrone Luckett. Matt is a veteran actor that some people may recognize from his work on the soap opera Days of Our Lives and his reoccurring role on Power. He plays the leader of the cult on the show.
I had the privilege of talking with the two stars about their roles on Ruthless during a recent press conference. They were joined by a few of their castmates during the press conference. Lenny Thomas who plays Dikhan, The Highest right-hand man was there. Baadja-Lyne Odums who plays The Supreme Mother/Marva was there along with Blue Kimble who plays Andrew.
