The anonymous insider, who is described as ‘a high-end hausfrau’, says one simply couldn’t raise children without a nanny and that every family she knows has one.
She says the childcare support allows both parents to relax, and offers the freedom for both partners to do two-hour daily workouts – a norm in her set.
A butler, though, is a ‘big deal’ as ‘everybody wants one’, she says. A personal helicopter, too, particularly with a landing pad on-site is another ‘different level of wealth.’
The housewife tells the magazine that many of her friends are likely adding to the household staff roster this summer with drivers too.
‘In the Hamptons, about 20per cent have drivers, but I bet that will double this summer because of all the DUI busts,’ she says.
