Now from my understanding, Ballistic is a music producer. He makes the beats and helps Joseline craft songs and assists in her music career. Not only that but he is also featured on her show.
But let’s be clear, if Joseline left her boyfriend today, she will still be Joseline. She doesn’t need him to boost her brand and she probably would still make the same amount of money with or without him.
It’s the same way with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. Even though Ye is a mega superstar, Kim doesn’t need him to help her career. She was famous before him; she makes headlines while she is with Pete Davidson and she is going to be who she is regardless.
I bring this up because it’s not about men and women in these instances. No matter who you are, when you are self-made you can talk as freely as you want to whoever you want, whenever you want.
The problem with this situation is the man’s ego. I have told a few people that a bigger problem than racism is sexism. Because, no matter their race, women have to deal with men who have treated them less than equal.
When you watch the video of Joseline’s boyfriend snapping he was basically explaining his worth. He was trying to convince the audience and her that he is valuable to her existence. Historically, this is what some women have been trying to explain to their men for years.
Y’all remember back when it was customary for the men to go to work and the woman to take care of the house. At some point, these felt underappreciated. There have been numerous scenes on television, in movies, and in real life where the woman had to explain to the man how important her role was.
